Tyndrum

Situated 5 miles north of Crianlarich, Tyndrum is in the heart of hillwalking country around Glen Lochy.

The village is a popular stopover point on the West Highland Way with a wide range of accommodation including hotels, guest houses and campsites.

The village has a history of lead mining and the nearby rivers are popular spots for gold panners – if you have a go you might find some flecks, or even a nugget!

Did you know? Tyndrum is built over the battlefield where Clan Macdougall defeated Robert the Bruce in 1306 AD.
