Montrose

Between Aberdeen and Dundee on the Angus coast, Montrose is a charming costal town on the estuary of the river South Esk. The town sits on the edge of Montrose basin, a two mile square lagoon filled with wildlife, which you can find out about at the Montrose Basin Visitor Centre. The town’s sandy beach is suitable for families and is near the Montrose Links Golf Course, the fifth oldest golf course in the world.
