Caledonian ‘sweeter’: Caledonian Sleeper cooks up new partnership with Ochil Fudge
23 January 2026
Caledonian Sleeper will hand out 220,000 pieces of hand-made fudge this year as it announced a new partnership that will make overnight journeys even sweeter.
The iconic sleeper train has welcomed Ochil Fudge on board, the latest complimentary tidbit for guests brings a true taste of Scotland to the Sleeper services, and what better way to announce the collaboration than a first nibble on Burns Night.
The Caledonian Sleeper team will be celebrating the new onboard addition at their London Euston Guest Lounge on Sunday, 25th of January, where alongside traditional Scottish fayre - they’ll tuck into some whisky fudge, handmade by Ochil - to mark Burn’s Night.
They’ll be welcomed to the Sleeper family by resident piper Lorne MacDougall and Norrie MacIver (formerly of Skipinnish), who will help celebrate the national bard in true Caledonian Sleeper style.
The fudge produced in Alloa, near Stirling, another example of Caledonian Sleeper’s commitment to supporting the local communities their service passes through. And the new treat is no small indulgence with 220,000 pieces of fudge - a whopping 4.4 tonnes is set to be gifted to Caledonian Double, Club Ensuite and Accessible Double room guests to enjoy.
Whether they are nodding off en-route to London or waking up north of the border on their journey to the Scottish Highlands, the new partnership will sweeten the journey from platform to pillow, and is available on the Caledonian Sleeper now.
Stacey Fleming, Caledonian Sleeper’s Guest Experience Director said: “We are delighted to bring a little sweetness to our guests’ overnight journey through a new partnership with Ochil Fudge, offering a hand-crafted sweet treat that delivers an authentic taste of Scotland.
Supporting the Scottish communities our unique overnight service travels through is an important part of who we are. This partnership allows us to showcase a much-loved local producer, while giving guests a small but memorable taste of Scotland that reflects the warmth and hospitality we pride ourselves on delivering.”
Ochil Fudge launched in 2017 from a small Alloa kitchen nestled under the Ochil Hills, with their mission to create authentic hand-beaten indulgence, creating fudge that could transport people to happy memories of childhood and take their taste buds on a journey. Now they will be doing just that as they embark on a new adventure with Caledonian Sleeper.
Graeme Clark, CEO for Ochil Fudge: “We’re incredibly proud to see Ochil Fudge enjoyed by Caledonian Sleeper guests.
“Every batch of our fudge is handcrafted, carefully created with passion and only the finest ingredients. Bringing a small taste of Scotland while people experience one of the most memorable train journeys of their lives, fills us with excitement, and we’re excited about celebrating a long partnership with Caledonian Sleeper.”
