Newtonmore
Located in the Cairngorms National Park in the southern part of the Spey Valley, Newtonmore is a village that expanded through the 19th Century.
Try pony trekking at the Newtonmore Riding Centre or walk the 10km Wildcat Trail which loops round the village.
The village houses the Clan Macpherson Museum – a must visit for Macphersons tracing their highland heritage.
