Dating back to Roman times, Preston is steeped in history. During the 19th Century the town grew from a small market town with the growth of textiles industries in the area.

Preston became England’s 50th city in 2002 in the 50th year of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.

Preston is packed with attractions including the Harris Museum and Art Gallery, the Lancashire Infantry Museum, Ribble Steam Railway, the Museum of Lancashire, and Preston Minster.
