Dalwhinnie

Lying in the Badenoch region at the head of Loch Etricht in the Cairngorms National Park, Dalwhinnie means “Plains of meeting” in Gaelic. Home to the Dalwhinnie Distillery, the highest working distillery in Scotland at a height of 1154ft (351m), Dalwhinnie is surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery including nearby Ben Alder. Explore by bike or on foot and take in the rugged mountains and glistening lochs.
