Travelling with children
Our range of family products offer great value to our guests travelling with children. These will automatically be displayed to you through our booking process when particular criteria are met.
Infants aged 0-4 (inclusive) travel free of charge provided they share a seat or sleeper room with an accompanying adult. A maximum of one infant can share with one adult. Two infants must be accompanied by two adults. Unless you have purchased a ticket which entitles your child to their own seat or bed (such as our Family Tickets), children under the age of 5 are not allocated a separate seat or bed.
If you would like an under 5 to have their own seat or bed they will need to purchase a child discounted ticket.
If you are trying to book for children under the age of 5 who do not require their own seat or bed, you do not need to add them in our booking process when selecting the number of guests. If you require a separate seat or bed for them then they should be added as children 5 to 15.
We have special pricing for families who are purchasing one, two or three rooms through our Family Tickets, which are our most cost effective option. These prices will be automatically applied as part of the booking process and show our best value fares when travelling with children.
Families travelling with us will also have option of:
- Free fruit for children on board
- Children under 12 eat free from our on board menu when accompanied by an adult purchasing a meal
Travel Cots: Please note when travelling with infants and younger children, our rooms are too narrow for standard travel cots.
Interconnecting Rooms: Our Classic Rooms have interconnecting doors, perfect for families wanting to spend time together. If you are booking just one room, these doors remain locked. If you are travelling as a group, your host can unlock this door for you. Club and Caledonian Double Rooms do not have interconnecting doors. If you require interconnecting rooms, please book Classic Rooms and choose rooms which show as interconnecting in the booking system.
