Stonehaven harbour


Sitting on the coast in a natural harbour 15 miles south of Aberdeen, Stonehaven is a picturesque town built around the quay and the beach

On the quayside you’ll find the Stonehaven Tolbooth Museum, housed in the oldest building in the town.

Perched on cliffs two miles to the south of the town is the unforgettable Dunottar Castle, a historic castle with a bloody history.

The town houses the Stonehaven Open Air pool, an Olympic sized heated outdoor pool and the northernmost lido in the UK.

Dunottar Castle

A medieval fortress perched atop rugged cliffs overlooking the North Sea. This castle ruins evokes takes of battles, sieges and royal intrigue.

Stonehaven Golf Course

This course offers golfers a picturesque setting for a round of golf amidst the landscape of coastal Scotland.

Stonehaven Open Air Swimming Pool

Opened in 1934, Stonehaven Open Air Pool is the UK's only art deco Olympic sized sea water lido. The water is heated and is open from late May to early September.
