Bicycle Tickets

Bicycle reservations

All our trains carry bicycles free of charge, providing you reserve a space beforehand when you buy your ticket using our online booking system or by contacting the Guest Service Centre.

Bicycles are carried in secure accommodation next to the Train Manager’s office. Bicycle accommodation is limited to six on each service (except for three on the Inverness to Euston service, which also carries fresh seafood to London’s restaurants daily). However, if our trains are busy, we’ll courier your bicycle from your starting station to your destination station, at no extra charge. If we need to do this our Guest Service Centre will contact you before your journey, and you will need to be able to present your bike up to two hours before departure time (links to Cycles & Pets page).

Please note that, if you are travelling on a service to or from Fort William (or any station on the West Highland line) you will need to move your bicycle from one coach to another at Edinburgh, as there is no through coach for bicycles between London and Fort William.

Because of space limitations, we can only carry bicycles that are for one person. Sorry, but we can’t carry tandems, motorised bicycles, mopeds, motorbikes or motability scooters.
