Caledonian Sleeper continues Oban connection Published: Monday, 02 October 2017 13:02

Caledonian Sleeper is continuing a bus connection service from Crianlarich in Central Scotland to the town of Oban, helping make journeys from London to Scotland’s West Coast more efficient.

Partnering with West Coast Motors and funded by Transport Scotland, the overnight rail service provided a bus link for a 14-week trial period, which ended last month, between Crianlarich railway station and the popular resort town. The link allowed guests to take a direct route to Oban without having to wait at Crianlarich for connecting rail services.

The service is now being extended for another four week period, due to end on October 28.

The Oban bus service operates Monday to Saturday mornings from Crianlarich railway station to Oban reflecting the Caledonian Sleeper timetable. No booking is required for the return bus service from Oban station that will run each evening at 19:40 on Sundays and at 20:30 Monday to Friday.

Guests looking to use the bus service should confirm so when boarding Caledonian Sleeper in London Euston.

Stops between Crianlarich and Oban are available by request on the morning service only. Please request this when boarding.
