Family Travel Made Easy as Caledonian Sleeper Launches New Family Ticket Published: Monday, 13 February 2017 11:44
Overnight rail service Caledonian Sleeper has made travelling with children easier thanks to the launch of a new family ticket. Designed to help take the stress out of family travel, the rail service’s new ticket allows parents and carers to book two shared interconnecting rooms for them and their children, ensuring families are guaranteed to travel together when journeying across the border.

The new ticket will be launched with young guests at a special on board event. Taking place on Friday 17 February, young explorers making the journey from Inverness to London will be treated to a puppet show and storytelling as they prepare to settle down for the night.

Hearing tales of magical adventures involving Caledonian Sleeper’s new Cailee character and with the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary meal on board afterwards, around 25 children are expected to take part in the night’s storytelling session with Highlands-based entertainers Hopscotch Magic.

Iain Baxter, Marketing and Revenue Director, Caledonian Sleeper said: “We want to make family travel as stress-free as possible. Our new family ticket is designed to make the booking process easier and helps families to make the most of the Caledonian Sleeper experience.

“We’ve also launched a new kids menu which children can enjoy in the comfort of the lounge car, with free dining available for guests under 12. Compared to other options, Caledonian Sleeper is the most relaxing and kid-friendly option for families travelling between London and Scotland.”
