Caledonian Sleeper Fact Sheet

Caledonian Sleeper is the overnight rail service operating between London and Scotland. With services operating almost daily, the trains make travelling across the border relaxing, hassle-free and gives passengers the chance to arrive at their destination refreshed and ready to take on the day.

The trains travel from London to Edinburgh and Glasgow on their Lowland Route, and London to Fort William, Inverness and Aberdeen on their Highland Route.

Club Car

The beating heart of Caledonian Sleeper is the Club Car. Here, surrounded by interiors from renowned Edinburgh-based designer Ian Smith, guests can unwind whilst enjoying a menu showcasing the very best of Scottish produce.

Caledonian Sleeper is committed to serving delicious food using fresh produce with traceable provenance. Guests are taken on a culinary tour of Scotland, from classic dishes to contemporary delights.

Guest Lounges

Guest journeys start before boarding the train thanks to a series of station lounges across Scotland. Guest Lounges all have accessible shower and toilet facilities, while Caledonian Sleeper hosts are on hand to serve drinks and snacks to guests ahead of and after their journey.

Room Types and Rates

On board, guests can choose from five room types:

  • Caledonian Double – en-suite room with double bed and breakfast included
  • Club Room – twin bunk or single bed options with en-suite toilet and shower
  • Classic Room – twin bunk or single bed options
  • Comfort Seats – comfortable reclining seats equipped with charging points and lockable storage
  • Accessible Room – double bed or two single beds with disabled access

Combining travel to and from the heart of London with comfortable overnight accommodation, prices for Comfort Seats start from £50, Classic Rooms from £175 for Solo or £205 for Shared, Club Rooms from £235 for Solo and £290 for Shared and Caledonian Doubles from £345 for Solo and £410 for Shared.
