Make fascinating discoveries in London at British Science Week

Delve into the fascinating world of science, engineering, technology and maths, with British Science Week beginning on Friday 10 March.  

With a range of events and activities taking place throughout the UK, it’s the perfect time for the whole family to make truly remarkable discoveries.

From the introduction to science workshops to more advanced masterclasses, overnight rail service Caledonian Sleeper has round up some of the top British Science Week events in London.

Delve into science at the open laboratory event at the Great Court of the British Museum on Saturday 18 March. Meet the scientists and experts as they share their remarkable research and insights and offer a closer look into a working lab. 

Drawing on inspiration from the captivating world of science, the National Theatre is hosting a creative session on Saturday 18 March bringing science and new theatre together. With plenty of interactive activities, it is the ideal opportunity for young people aged 16-21 to take part. 

For younger children there’s the chance to join a unique workshop at the National Theatre on Saturday 11 March, where they’ll be taken on a virtual reality adventure discovering rainforests and oceans across the world.

Go behind the scenes at St. Thomas Hospital near Westminster to discover how the human body works, as well as the roles of doctors, scientists and other healthcare specialists in caring for patients.

Some of London’s most iconic attractions such as the Museum of London and the Victoria and Albert Museum will also be hosting a variety of events and activities for the entire family to join.
