Our exclusive whisky marks 150 years of Scotland-London sleeper services.
While guests sleep soundly, dreaming their way through dark night skies to London’s bright lights, the majestic Highlands or iconic Edinburgh & Glasgow, the modern-day Caledonian Sleeper writes a new chapter of this 150-year history.
Handpicked at Annandale Distillery (Est.1836), our unique 8-year-old lowland malt started life in February 2015. Matured in an American oak ex-bourbon cask, our whisky offers hints of creamy sweet toffee combined with the crisp flavours of ripe Granny Smith apples and Conference pears.

Annandale Distillery, established in 1836 was reborn in 2014 after resting for almost a century; following an extensive £10.5million restoration project.
Annandale Distillery is the multi-award-winning home of Single Cask Single Malt Whiskies – Man O’Words and Man O’Sword. Both winners of Best Single Cask Single Malt 10yrs & Under in Jim Murray’s globally acclaimed ‘Whisky Bible’.
Annandale Distillery’s 5-star rated visitor centre offers hourly tours, on-site café, venue hire, wedding and corporate packages, cask ownership and whisky by the dram, bottle or barrel. This whisky distillery and visitor attraction is one of Dumfries and Galloway’s must visit tourist sites.

Hand-picked from a selection of individual casks by our staff, our 150th Anniversary bottling is a single-cask single malt, unpeated, non chill-filtered whisky, filled in 2015 and aged in American Oak ex-bourbon casks for 8 years.
Our cask is number 126. You can see the cask in the image at the top of this page.
This limited-edition single malt whisky (ABV 50%) is available to buy onboard in 5cl bottles complete with exclusive labelling – yours to enjoy onboard or take away as a souvenir.
We also have a very limited run of 200 bottles available for sale.
Profits from the sale of the 70cl whisky bottles will be donated to Railway Children, the international charity working with street children in India, East Africa and the UK. One of the 200 bottles will also be donated to Give a Dog a Bone, the Scottish loneliness and animal charity, to be auctioned later in the year as part of fundraising efforts.
